There can be a lot of questions concerning doula services.

I hope this section answers any questions you may have, but always feel free to reach out, and I will do my best to answer any and all questions and concerns you may have.

What does a doula do?

As a doula, I offer prenatal, labor, and postpartum support. I provide pregnancy and delivery education. I provide comfort measures during labor, explain any medical jargon you have questions about, and help provide education for informed decisions.

What is the difference between a doula and midwife?

As a doula, I cannot provide any medical services. I am simply there as a support for you and your family. A midwife is a trained medical professional to provide prenatal care along with deliver your baby.

Does a doula take the place of the father of the baby during delivery?

Of course not! I am there to help provide education and support. I want you both to feel confident going into labor. Having an extra person of support can help take some of the stress away during labor and delivery.
